NEW YORK — The National Hockey League today announced it will expand Snowshoes Mountain Resort in Idaho and Caldwell Ranches in Montana.
The announcement was made by NHL Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Marc Bergevin.
Snowshoes, a resort located in the state of Idaho, is the latest NHL expansion franchise to announce plans to relocate to an NHL arena.
The NHL’s Idaho franchise is slated to open in the spring of 2020.
Caldwell Ranch, a ranch located in Montana, will be a new team in the newly expanded NHL.
The ranch will join the NHL’s Colorado franchise as a member of the National Hockey Association.
